BitcoinSV’s ordinal network is perfect for launching a BSV20 token. You can easily design such a token by choosing the name for the token, setting the number of tokens that can be circulated in total and the number of tokens that can be minted per mint.

Through 1SatOrdinals.com and FireSat.io, you can easily create a new BSV20 token, or an existing BSV20 token that can still be minted. After a token is no longer available for minting, it is offered for sale on the market.

ORDINAL NUMBERS DON’T LIE

Unlike other ordinal systems that have launched, BitcoinSV’s ordinals network has already endured an awful lot. In early 2024, the counter on the most famous BRC20 ordinals network on the BTC blockchain stood at just over 57 million inscriptions. BitcoinSV’s ordinals network has already had to endure 2.7 billion inscriptions by early 2024.

Indexing all these inscriptions requires enormous capacity. Because of this high number of inscriptions, BSV20 V1 tokens need to be signed up for indexing. Notification of this process is done through the 1SatOrdinals Discord chat (found below). The BSV20 V2 and Lock-to-mint (LTM) tokens are indexed in a different way so they do not require notification for indexing.
